Renters’ Rights Act: Key Changes Coming in May 2026
From 1 May 2026, the Renters’ Rights Act will introduce significant updates for private renters across England. Shelter has highlighted several important changes that aim to strengthen security, fairness and transparency in the private rented sector.
Current rights remain unchanged until the Act comes into force in May 2026.
