The UK Government has announced a 7% increase to the Minimum Income Guarantee for adults receiving social care. This means around 150,000 working‑age disabled adults will keep at least £400 more each year after care contributions.
The announcement also includes £700 million for the Disabled Facilities Grant, which helps fund home adaptations such as ramps, stairlifts, and accessible bathrooms.
