Promise 6 Project – RDaSH

Great to meet with Ray Hennessy today to highlight Promise 6 and the work we’re delivering together across RDaSH.

The Promise 6 project focuses on identifying and addressing financial pressures such as debt, housing issues, high household costs, and digital exclusion. It recognises that financial strain affects health, and aims to ensure people get help earlier, before problems escalate.

As part of this project, Citizens Advice Doncaster Borough advisers are based within RDaSH locations, supporting both patients and staff with:

☑️ Money and benefits support
☑️Debt and housing advice
☑️Digital confidence and referrals to the South Yorkshire Digital Inclusion Project
☑️Budgeting and financial education

This joined‑up approach means people can get practical support at the same time as their healthcare, making services easier to access and reducing pressure on teams.

A partner summed it up perfectly:
“CAB’s integration with our team ensures seamless referrals… improving wellbeing, stability, and engagement with healthcare. Staff also trust the service, with some having accessed advice themselves.”

Together, we’re improving outcomes, supporting the workforce, and helping to ensure RDaSH services are fair, accessible.
